Macartney Cottage

This Grade II Listed ‘arts & crafts’ cottage sits on the prestigious Chesterfield Walk, along the western edge of Greenwich Park. The proposals comprise a full sensitive renovation of the main cottage, and a new basement space which accommodates a guest suite, gym and study.

The proposals are sensitive to the heritage of the 1920s property, with carefully considered contemporary additions. Original features are retained throughout, while the historic single glazed Crittall windows are being thermally upgraded to heritage-style double glazed units – to enhance the energy efficiency of the cottage. The project involved a thorough planning process, including pre-application discussions and a comprehensive Listed Building Consent approval process.
